初衣工作室 - 劉秀貞

劉秀貞為服裝設計師，擅長以布品、織品、線材進行工藝創作，目前在花蓮創立個人工作室，從事文化產品設計、文創生活品和服飾設計。

劉秀貞之專業服裝設計及裁縫資歷近10年，從2017年至今與新光三越百貨南西三館、一樓服務臺及四樓牛仔褲休閒梯廳合作設計之花卉植物(植生牆概念)裝置於商業空間大受好評，作品以布質設計、二手牛仔褲再造為主，拆解舊牛仔褲重組，層疊手縫及車縫組合來組成花卉形體創作。

並與EDMIN響應每年之世界地球日，所回收之牛仔褲400-500件，因國人普遍對回收布料較排斥，也想藉此機會傳達丹寧布為一對地球之友善素材。

曾任職臺北一芃高級淑女裝開發有限公司擔任服裝設計師及臺南藝術村美術美勞才藝教學講師，同時也受邀參加2020年烏茲別克編織藝術節，展出其近三年來以再生材質、織品、丹寧布和二手布品的研發服飾設計、生活產品和文創設計成果。

As a costume designer, Liou specialize in doing craft creation by using clothes, fabrics and threads. She has a personal studio in Hualien, dedicating to designing culture product, culture creative industry using and fashion.

Siou-Jhen Liou has around 10 years of engaging in professional fashion design and tailor experience. She has collaborated with Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Taipei Nanxi store three since 2017. Using the second-hand jeans which EDMIN had recycled from World Earth Day every year, Liou designed some flower ornamentals (Concept from vertical garden), putting at the information desk (Frist floor) and elevator lobby which was near to the jean zone (fourth floor) in department store. This collaborative design case acquired a favorable reception. This work mainly focus on fabric design and second-hand jeans remaking. Liou took apart the jeans, remaking them into the shape of flower by hand sewing and machine sewing stacked. Thoughts on people are prone to resist the recycled clothes, Liou wantes to sent the message of the fact that “Denim is an eco-friendly clothes material.” through this work.

Used to be a costume designer in Perng Yuh female clothing development company limited and an art lecturer in Tainan Artist Community.

She is also Invited to attend the 2020 Weaving Art Festival in Uzbek to show the achievement in costume design by using reclaimed materials, fabrics, Denim and second-hand clothes,and her professional practice in culture and art exchange activities around these three years.
